Frequently Asked Questions

Can I come to any class or do you have a beginner’s class?

The classes on the West side are for all levels, so anyone can come to any of them. The teachers will show variations for the poses. The East side will have different types of classes.

What do I need to bring?

You don’t need to bring anything. We provide yoga mats, straps, blocks, blankets, etc.

What should I wear?

Just wear comfortable clothes that you can move easily in, keeping in mind we do poses standing, sitting, on our stomachs and on our backs and sometimes upside down.

What if I have never taken yoga?

You can pick the class you would like to attend and then arrive about 10 minutes early so the teacher can get you set up on a yoga mat.

How long does a class last?

Each yoga class lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Do you accept credit cards?

The West side location does not accept cards, cash and check only. The East side does accept credit cards.

What is a typical yoga class like?

Each class normally starts with sitting and breathing, then we move through the poses (asana) and then end with relaxation.

What if I have limitations or I can’t do the poses?

Most people have some sort of limitation, so you aren’t alone. You do only what you can do. You rest if you need to rest. No one else will be watching. They’ll be doing their own yoga on their own mats. The teacher will usually give alternative ways to do the pose.
